The notification has been issued as per the Government of Assam approval vide letter No. E-837098/34, dated 26th August 2026. The 200 vacancies will be filled as per the existing vacancy position in the respective category, based on the Post-Based Roster Register maintained by the Directorate.

Eligibility Criteria
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have passed the full-time HSSLC (Class 12) examination in the Science stream with Biology as one of the subjects, from a recognized Board, Council or University.
Citizenship and Domicile
The candidate must be an Indian Citizen as defined under Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India. The candidate must also be a permanent resident of Assam and should possess a valid Permanent Resident Certificate (PRC) issued in Assam for educational purposes.
Caste Certificate
Candidates seeking reservation under SC, ST, OBC or MOBC categories must submit a Caste Certificate issued by a competent authority of the Government of Assam. The certificate must clearly indicate the caste, the Act or order under which it is recognised, and the candidate's village or town of ordinary residence.
Age Limit
Age is calculated as on 01/01/2026, as per Government Office Memorandum No. ABP.6/2016/51, dated 2nd September 2020.

Salary / Pay Scale
Selected candidates will get Pay Band-2, Rs 14,000 to Rs 70,000 plus Grade Pay Rs 6,200, and other admissible allowances.
Selection Process
Selection will be through an OMR-based written test. The test duration is 120 minutes and it carries 100 marks. There will be 100 questions of Class 12 (HSSLC Science) standard in MCQ format.

For PwBD category, candidates must have a Benchmark Disability of 40% or more and must produce a certificate issued by a competent authority.

Fill in all the details correctly, upload scanned copies of your photograph, signature and required certificates. Verify all the information before submission.
