WBBPE is following all NCTE guideline for WB Primary TET Exam 2017. Specifically, we will discuss eligibility criteria for appearance inWB primary T.E.T exam. But before that why should not we discuss the eligibility criteria of NCTE rules for teachers training? Because teacher training is compulsory to the appearance of Primary tet exams.

Qualification for Teachers training

We should teach a child very carefully in primary school. Because a child is the future of the nation. So, we need qualified and perfect teachers for primary schools. To be a primary teacher of a primary school, candidates must be professionally trained. To take professional teacher training for primary schools. Candidate must be 10+2 or equivalent exam Passed with at list 50% aggregate score from a recognized Institution/board/Council. Though, candidates from a reserved category will get 5% marks relaxation. The professional teachers training are of various types. For primary education system D.ED, D.El.Ed, D.ED Special, B.Ed special course or degree are accepting to recruit or equivalent course recognised by NCTE. Special B.Ed and D.Ed are recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI) You may find a more equivalent course in the various names. Eligibility For T.E.T Exam

If you can remember the previous recruitment of WB Primary teacher recruitment which is finished in 2017, professional teacher training was not compulsory. Because WBBPE takes relaxation to recruit no-trained candidates as a primary teacher. But now, there is no relaxation for recruiting Non-trained candidates in primary schools. Candidates should be 2 years trained or enrolled for training in WBBPE having minimum aggregate 50 marks in 12th standard. 12th standard education should be under West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education or equivalent Council or board.
The age of the candidates must be under 40 years and not less than 18 years.
Candidates who enrolled for breeze course under NIOS also eligible for primary tet exam 2017.
Special B.Ed and D.Ed courses are recognized by the Rehabilitation Council of India (RCI), also eligible for the TET exam. But they have to take a 6-month breeze course to get the appointment in WB Primary Schools.
